During a past visit to Anju Ancient City, founded during the Sui Dynasty, I was captivated by its 1,500-year history and the meaning behind its name, "peaceful and happy living." The city offers free entry, making it an accessible destination.

Huguang Guild Hall, with its intricate carvings, stood out as one of the most important attractions. Tianhou Palace, the most well-preserved Mazu Temple in Chongqing, featured lifelike statues that provided a profound cultural experience. The adjacent Qian'an Guild Hall (Huangzhou Guild Hall) impressed with its grand wooden carvings and stone engravings.

Comfortable shoes are a must for walking on the cobblestone streets. Anju Ancient City's historical charm and cultural richness make it a must-visit destination. 🌿😊
