One person, one sea, one day, staying at a homestay above Erhai Lake in Shuanglang

Dali is truly a place you don’t want to leave once you arrive!
This time I stayed at Mangshu·Taotang Hill Seaview Hotel (Dali Erhai Branch) by the shore of Erhai Lake,
which was definitely the highlight of this trip💫
This Chinese courtyard hotel built on Erhai Lake,
every frame is as beautiful as a painting,
it’s simply a fairyland made for taking photos~

📍Amazing location:
No. 108, Dajianpang Village, Shuanglang Town, right by Erhai Lake, some rooms have 180° panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can enjoy the stunning view of Erhai Lake lying in bed;
From the room to the courtyard to the rooftop terrace, every shot looks like a masterpiece, especially at dusk when the sunset reflects on Erhai Lake, breathtakingly beautiful🌸

✨Fairy-like service:
24-hour butler service is so thoughtful—from town pick-up to preparing brown sugar ginger tea, full marks for attention to detail;
Welcome fruit and afternoon tea are served upon check-in, and warm milk at night, you’ll be pampered like a little princess👑

🛏️Luxurious experience:
Rooms are equipped with smart toilets, Dyson hairdryers, and bedding so comfortable it feels like sleeping on clouds; my favorite is the projector—watching movies in bed at night with the moonlight over Erhai Lake outside the window is romantically irresistible💕

🍜Delicious moments:
Be sure to try the freshly cooked rice noodles and molten croissants for breakfast, and coffee is unlimited refills, highly recommended👍

📸Photo hotspot:
1️⃣ Rooftop terrace: a 360° viewing platform, stunning at sunset or during the blue hour
2️⃣ Courtyard: Chinese aesthetic design, wearing Hanfu or long dresses makes photos even more atmospheric
3️⃣ Tea room: sip tea while enjoying views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, full of Zen vibes🍵

🚗Nearby activities:
• 10-minute walk to Shuanglang Ancient Town to experience tie-dyeing✨
• Rent a car to circle Erhai Lake
• Check in at the popular restaurant “Muxi Dali”
• Have afternoon tea at the “Sun Palace” art space☕️

💡Tips:
• Remember to book a sea view room in advance🌊
• Sunscreen! Sunscreen! The UV rays in Dali are very strong🧴
• Bring a light jacket, as there’s a big temperature difference between morning and night;
• The inn can help book private car tours (self-paid💰)
