Golden Temple, Dambulla 🇱🇰

The Golden Temple of Dambulla, also known as the Dambulla Cave Temple, is one of the most significant and well-preserved cave temple complexes in Sri Lanka. Located in the central part of the country, near the town of Dambulla, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular pilgrimage and tourist destination due to its rich history, religious significance, and stunning artwork.

The Dambulla Cave Temple is easily accessible from Kandy, Sigiriya, and other nearby tourist destinations. It is located about 160 kilometers from Colombo.

Visitors are advised to wear modest clothing when visiting, as it is a religious site. Shoes must be removed before entering the temple complex, and photography inside the caves is allowed but should be done respectfully.
