The Best Mt. Fuji Photo Spot (You’ll Thank Me Later)

Here are my favorite Mt. Fuji views around Kawaguchiko — and yes, even the local Lawson convenience store made the list. Who knew grabbing snacks with a backdrop like that could feel so surreal?

📍 1. Lawson with a View
This Lawson isn’t just a pitstop — it’s a photo spot. The contrast of Mt. Fuji towering behind an everyday store is unexpectedly beautiful. Tip: Come in the morning for clearer skies and fewer people.

📍 2. Lavender Field in Oishi Park
In late June to early July, the lavender here frames Fuji perfectly. It’s peaceful, colorful, and smells amazing. If you’re visiting outside bloom season, the lake view is still worth it.

📍 3. Chureito Pagoda
The classic postcard shot. Climb up the 400+ steps and you’ll be rewarded with that stunning 5-story pagoda plus Mt. Fuji in the background. Best visited at sunrise for fewer crowds and soft lighting.

📍 4. Small Roads Near Lawson
Don’t overlook the quiet back roads around Kawaguchiko. I stumbled upon these while wandering and found the most peaceful Fuji views.

✨ Tip: The weather changes fast. Check the cloud cover early in the morning (around 6–8 AM is best for a clear view), and stay flexible. Even a convenience store can become your favorite view when Fuji-san decides to show up.
