Preparation
● Documents: ID card, border pass (Nanyi Valley is a border area, so you need to apply in advance). The border pass can be obtained for free at the local police station of your registered residence. When filling out the destination, just write “Milin County.”
● Clothing: Nanyi Valley has a big temperature difference between morning and night. Even in summer, bring a thick jacket like a windbreaker or fleece.
● Medicine: Prepare altitude sickness medicine in advance, such as Rhodiola; also bring cold medicine, stomach medicine, motion sickness medicine, etc.

Day 1: Explore the Pristine Forest of Nanyi Valley

● Noon: Enjoy local specialties at the scenic area’s restaurant, such as Tibetan fragrant pork and stone pot chicken, which taste amazing 😋.
● Afternoon: Take the sightseeing bus deep into the primeval forest. You will feel like you are in a fairy tale world, with towering ancient trees shading the sky and rare plants everywhere. Stroll along the plank road, breathe the fresh air, listen to birds singing, and relax your body and mind. You can also visit the Lhoba Ethnic Village to learn about the unique culture and customs of the Lhoba people.
