Less Crowded|Guangde Taiji Cave One-Day Parent-Child Tour Guide, Enjoy Boating + Cable Car Fun!

Don’t want to be in a crowd? Then come to Taiji Cave in Guangde, Anhui! Just over a 2-hour drive from Shanghai, this lesser-known karst cave attraction is perfect for a one-day “micro-adventure” with kids!

Known as the "Number One Cave in East China," the dry cave is filled with unique rock formations, and the water cave is deep and tranquil. We took a small boat through the underground river, and the baby quietly watched the lights reflected on the water, creating a truly dreamy scene. The cave is very large, and with stops and explanations, nearly two hours of exploring won’t feel tiring.

What the kids remember most is the panoramic open cable car ride down the mountain! It moves slowly but offers unbeatable views, like walking in the air. The breeze is very pleasant, and the child kept shouting, “It’s like flying!” If your child is brave, this cable car experience is definitely a highlight of the trip~

Since the attraction isn’t very popular, the experience is great. We went on a weekend and there weren’t many people, so the kids could freely observe the cave’s scenery. The cave floor is slippery, so remember to wear non-slip shoes; there are many stairs, so strollers are inconvenient, but this is a good chance for kids to explore on their own and improve their observation skills.

If you have enough time, consider staying overnight in Guangde. The All Season Hotel suites are spacious and cost-effective. The surrounding mountain environment is quiet and perfect for families who enjoy natural fresh air.
