Seochulji Pond

Seochulji Pond in Gyeongju may not be very large, but it exudes a charming and intimate atmosphere. This pond, steeped in history, is associated with legends from the Silla Dynasty, adding to its cultural significance. When I visited during autumn, the vibrant red foliage reflected on the pond's surface created a breathtakingly picturesque scene, as if stepping into a traditional ink painting. The view from the bridge crossing the pond was incredibly romantic, and the tranquil walking paths around the pond were perfect for quiet contemplation. Unlike Gyeongju's more famous temples and historical sites, Seochulji Pond is less crowded, allowing visitors to enjoy it at a leisurely pace. It's an ideal destination for those looking to escape the noise of the city and find peace of mind. Truly, a hidden gem worth discovering.
