Hwawangsanseong Fortress Vibes in Changnyeong

#summervacay Spent the day wandering around Hwawangsanseong Fortress in Changnyeong, and it was the perfect mix of chill hike and cool history. The trail starts out pretty gentle, just easing you into the vibe with forest paths and some old stone steps. Kinda feels like you’re walking into the past.

Once you hit the fortress walls, whoa. They’re ancient and rugged, wrapping around the mountain ridge like something out of a drama. I took my time walking along the wall trail, snapping pics and pretending I was in a sageuk (lol). The views from the top are unreal, rolling mountains, quiet villages, and farmland stretching forever.

There’s even a few info signs and rest spots that make it easy to take breaks and soak it all in. Not a hard hike at all, but still enough to get the legs moving.

Honestly, it’s such an underrated spot. You get nature, history, and those “dang, Korea is beautiful” moments all in one. Total win.
