Rolling Ridges and Epic Rock Vibes

#summervacay Checked out Hwawangsan in Changnyeong and honestly? Loved every step of it. The trail kicks off with some nice wooded paths, super peaceful, with that classic mountain smell and birds doing their thing. Not too steep at first, but it definitely ramps up in spots, especially when you hit those rocky sections. Nothing too scary though, just enough to make it fun.

The coolest part? The wide, open ridgeline that stretches along the top. Seriously, it felt like walking on a natural skyline. Big boulders, sweeping views, and those wild clouds floating by, total mountain movie scene moment. You can even spot the Nakdong River winding through the distance. There are a few little peaks along the ridge, so there’s lots of chances to stop, chill, and snap pics.

It wasn’t super crowded, even on the weekend, which made it feel extra relaxing. If you’re into ridge hikes with solid views and a touch of drama, Hwawangsan’s got you. Would hike it again in a heartbeat!
