Qi Garden in Haiyan, Zhejiang, is known as one of the top ten gardens in China!
Tickets to this AAAA-rated national scenic area cost approximately 35 yuan.
Qi Garden is located on Haibin East Road, Wuyuan Town, Haiyan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. Commonly known as Feng Family Garden, it's adjacent to the Feng family residence. Originally the private garden of Qing Dynasty merchant Feng Zunzhai, construction began in 1871 (the tenth year of the Tongzhi reign). Currently, Qi Garden is one of the most well-preserved classical private gardens in Zhejiang Province, and is considered a typical example of Jiangnan private garden style.
Qi Garden covers a total area of approximately 10,000 square meters, with a water surface area of about 2,000 square meters and a tree-covered area of about 7,000 square meters. The entire garden appears enveloped in greenery. Nearly 1,000 trees thrive within the garden, including over 40 ancient trees that have withstood centuries of wind and rain. Some trees stand tall and straight, others nestle in valleys or lean over streams and rivers. Bamboo groves abound, and vines climb ancient trees, creating a lush, green, almost magical landscape.
