Hakodate Sightseeing: Goryokaku and Tachimachi Cape

Hakodate is a city rich in tourist attractions.

Goryokaku is famously known as the place where Hijikata Toshizo met his end. The conclusion of the Hakodate War 🪖 marked the true beginning of a new era 🗾. It’s truly a place brimming with historical energy.

Tachimachi Cape juts out into the Tsugaru Strait on the southeastern side of Mount Hakodate. Surrounded by the sea and featuring steep cliffs, the scenery was absolutely stunning under the clear skies 🌊✨. There was even a cute squid 🦑 sign that added a charming touch 🦑.
