Hakuba Road Trip

If you're someone who enjoys road trips, I highly recommend trying the Hakuba Road Trip. The atmosphere is fantastic, and this route is perfect for those who want to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Nagano Prefecture. Starting from Tokyo, the drive to Hakuba takes about 4-5 hours. Along the way, you'll be treated to stunning views of mountains and white snow (if you visit during winter to early April). You can also stop by charming small towns along the route, such as:

• Karuizawa: A chic resort town filled with cute cafes and plenty of outlet stores.

• Nagano City: Where you can visit Zenkoji Temple for a spiritual experience before heading to Hakuba.

Another must-see is the Azumino viewpoint, where you can take photos of open fields with the breathtaking backdrop of the Japanese Alps.

Once you arrive in Hakuba, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as:

• Skiing at Happo-One or Tsugaike Kogen ski resorts.

• Sipping tea or coffee at Snow Peak Land Station while admiring the stunning mountain views.

• Relaxing at Starbucks Hakuba, a cozy café with warm design and mesmerizing snowy scenery.
