Wat Ton Kwen, Chiang Mai

Wat Ton Kwen (officially known as Wat Intharawat) is a significant and historic temple in Chiang Mai. 🙏

• 🏛️ Built during the reign of King Inthawichayanon (the 7th ruler of Chiang Mai) around 1856.
• 🏯 Its highlight is the wooden Lanna-style Ho Kham Luang (Royal Pavilion) or "Wooden Library," which showcases exquisite and rare Lanna architecture.
• 🌳 The temple grounds are serene, featuring a large rain tree (Chamchuri tree), believed to be the origin of the temple's name.
• 📍 Located in Nong Kwai Subdistrict, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai Province, approximately 10 km from Chiang Mai city center.

✨ This temple is significant as it served as the model for the Ho Kham Luang Pavilion displayed at the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2006 event.
