Wat Ton Kwen: A Beautiful and Valuable Historical Site in Chiang Mai

Wat Ton Kwen, also known as Wat Intharawat, is an ancient temple in Chiang Mai. Currently, it is an uninhabited temple located in Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai Province. It was originally built as a resting place for the procession of the Phra Borommathat Si Chom Thong relic during the traditional ceremony of bringing the Buddha into the city. The temple showcases traditional Lanna architecture in its most complete and valuable form. It has been registered as a historical site and recognized by the Association of Siamese Architects as an outstanding conservation building. We've visited this temple four times already, and it remains a beautiful and peaceful place. If you're visiting Chiang Mai and exploring areas like the Old City or Wat Umong, consider stopping by Wat Ton Kwen.
