Central Street and century-old shops in the alleys are must-sees in Harbin

Central Street is arguably Harbin's busiest and most vibrant street! Over a kilometer long, the entire street is pedestrian-only, with traffic police stationed at every block to maintain order. The street is lined with dazzling European and Russian-style buildings, and is overflowing with restaurants and cultural and creative products, offering everything from Qiulin Liados ham and kvass to Madiel popsicles. Besides admiring the architectural beauty, you can also enjoy delicious food and indulge in shopping!

I think the city government has a strong sense of business planning, as the signs on both sides of the street are clearly categorized and easy to understand, offering maps of tourist and cultural attractions, shopping maps, and directions to restrooms! This is a friendly city!

I stumbled upon the "Shoker Courtyard" in the alley, and it felt like stepping into "Diagon Alley" from the Harry Potter films. The courtyard isn't large, but it's packed with photo opportunities! It's both retro and modern, with colorful buildings and landscaping, and information about the origins of breadstone. No wonder it's always crowded!
