📍 Harbin — This Guobaorou (Sweet & Sour Pork) is Seriously Addictive!

#hellohalloween

There’s one thing about northeastern restaurants —
they’re always packed, and most tables are pre-booked by locals 🙃
Even if you arrive early, you might still have nowhere to sit. Honestly, that’s more frustrating than queueing!

🍽 Lao Chu Jia (Old Chef’s House)
Originally wanted to visit their small Western-style building branch,
but couldn’t get in — it was full!
So we went to the mall branch instead (they’re quite close),
and still had to wait a bit since it was the weekend.

🔥 Signature Guobaorou (Sweet & Sour Pork)
The pieces aren’t huge, the flavor’s perfectly balanced — not too sour or sharp.
Crispy on the outside, not greasy, with a light batter and minimal sauce.
What’s impressive is that it’s not cloying at all —
you can actually eat several pieces without feeling heavy (which rarely happens with this dish!).
Perfect for smaller groups who still want to enjoy the classic.

✅ Verdict: Lao Chu Jia’s Guobaorou lives up to the hype.
Crispy, flavorful, and irresistibly good. 😋
