Itsukushima Shrine is the Ichinomiya of Aki Province and was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1996.
Itsukushima Shrine is said to have been founded by Saeki Kuramoto in 593.

In 1168, Taira no Kiyomori was appointed as the governor of Aki, and revered and believed in it as the guardian deity of the Taira clan, which led to the shrine being built into its current form.

It is said to be a shrine floating on the sea, and is characterized by its long corridor.

And the vermilion-painted large torii gate ⛩
Every sight is captivating.

The tides also rise and fall depending on the time, and when the sea 🌊 goes out, you can go close to the large torii gate.

The view changes depending on the season, so you'll want to visit Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine again and again.
