❄️🏔 “Dagu Gasia, the snowy city that is cold to the heart!!!

If you want to experience snow without flying to Europe… China has the answer, and that answer is “Dagu Gasia”, a high-altitude snow city in Sichuan Province that is both cold, beautiful, and amazing without a filter.

The journey may not be easy. You have to drive from Chengdu for about 6–8 hours, winding through the mountains, passing grasslands and Tibetan villages. But when you get there… wow, the valley is full of white snow, contrasting with the clear blue sky, a view that will take your breath away.

🌨 The highlight here is the Dagu Glacier, which is over 4,800 meters high! We took a cable car to the highest point, which took about 30 minutes. Along the way, we saw a view of snow-capped mountains contrasting with pine forests. The higher you go, the colder the air gets. The wind blows gently on your face, as if nature is greeting you.

When you reach the top, I must say that it is “beyond your dreams”. Snow-capped mountains surround you 360 degrees. Walking on a wooden path covered in a thin layer of snow, the sound of your feet on the snow is something we will remember for the rest of our lives.

🍜 The local food is surprisingly delicious. There are hot Tibetan soups, strong stewed beef, and hot tea made from yak butter. It gives you energy after hiking on high mountains.

• Bring a portable oxygen tank because some people get dizzy from the altitude.
• Clothes must be really cold-proof. The temperature may be below zero.
• It is recommended to go during November–March to get thick snow and spectacular views.
