A beautiful red torii gate leading to the Inari shrine

Inari Shrine, dedicated to Uka no Mitama no Kami, the deity in charge of agriculture, was enshrined at the main shrine, Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Taisha, and was founded next to the national treasure Aoi Aso Shrine. This Inari Shrine is a place where prayers are made for bountiful harvests and good fortune. The bright red torii gates make this a recommended spot for sightseeing in Hitoyoshi.
