Day 1 – Sky-High Views & Waterfront Vibes
Started the day with the kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus – Return Tour, heading up to the summit of Mount Wellington for jaw-dropping panoramic views. Came back down and explored the Salamanca Market (Saturday only!)—a lively scene of local food, crafts, and music. Spent the afternoon strolling around Salamanca Place and the scenic Hobart Pier.
Day 2 – Gardens & Galleries
Visited the lush Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, a peaceful haven with unique flora and incredible views over the Derwent River. Then headed to the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery for a deep dive into local history, Aboriginal culture, and contemporary art.
Day 3 – Richmond Village Escape
Took a short bus ride to Richmond, one of Australia’s oldest colonial towns. Walked across the famous Richmond Bridge (Australia’s oldest!) and wandered the charming village streets filled with heritage buildings, cafés, and antique shops.
Day 4 – A Day at MONA
Wrapped up the trip with a full-day visit to the world-famous MONA (Museum of Old and New Art)—took the complimentary round-trip ferry for a stylish arrival. Spent hours immersed in bold, strange, and thought-provoking art. A truly unforgettable finish to the Hobart adventure!
