Chengkan, a lifetime without obstacles

[Bus] Transportation
1. Huangshan North Station ➡️ Chengkan
* Exit the North High-Speed Rail Station and turn left, not the passenger transport center! You can take the Tourist Express Line 9, fare is 5 yuan, check the schedule in advance, it takes about half an hour to reach Chengkan.
* Taking a taxi takes about the same time as the bus, around 20 minutes. Set the destination to Chengkan Police Station, and you will arrive at the entrance of Yongxing Lake (Fish Lantern Show).
2. Chengkan ➡️ Huangshan North Station
* Walk up along the police station to find the passenger transport center, where you can take Line 9.
* Taking a taxi is a bit difficult (I tried for a few minutes without success, so I went to the passenger transport center).

* Twin room around 400 yuan per night
* You can ask the owner to pick you up when you arrive at the ancient town
* Staying inside the ancient village allows free access within 3 days with a full ticket of 103 and accommodation record
* The ancient village is quite dark at night, and there are not many food delivery options

Food
* There are local cuisine restaurants in the ancient village and at the South Gate exit
* You can also order dishes inside the guesthouse

[Scenic] Attractions
1. Yongxing Lake Entrance Area
* Xinrenju, check in at "Ruihe Tu" (Picture 1)
* Autumn Drying Square, main location for the fish lantern show at 7 PM. Some fish lanterns stay here, others circle around Yongxing Lake
* Fireworks are set off when the fish lanterns pass the first arch bridge
* There is tea and sweet soup under the pavilion, and you can buy fridge magnets nearby (this place has the most styles of fridge magnets; the ancient village also has villagers’ own creative shops, but with fewer styles)
* Boat tours on the lake, about 58 yuan per person
* Encounter walking geese!
2. Bagua Gate (need to walk down from Yongxing Lake entrance, passing Wufu Bridge, ticket required)
* Mainly the Bagua Gate in Picture 2, but it’s crowded; you need luck to get a good photo
* Further inside Bagua Gate is another Autumn Drying area with many crops displayed, also great for photos and check-ins

* The whole afternoon and evening can cover all activities
* The main attractions are Bagua Gate (mainly for photos) and the fish lantern night tour at Yongxing Lake (check-in + participation)
* Villagers will approach you to offer explanations when entering the ancient village; just ignore them if you want
* Few points of interest inside the ancient village, mostly old residences, optional to visit or not
