A Memorable Stay at Hurawalhi Island Resort

After plenty of research and deliberation， we finally settled on Hurawalhi Island Resort in the Maldives for a five-night escape， opting for the All-Inclusive Plus Package. We had also downloaded the Hurawalhi app in advance， allowing us to book activities ahead and during the stay; our Island Host (Yum) seamlessly added everything to 'My Itinerary，' keeping us informed.ArrivalOn arriving at Malé airport， a Hummingbird Travel rep met us and smoothly fast-tracked us through the Seaplane terminal. Our luggage was quickly handled， and we were driven by a private chauffeur. Before leaving， the rep asked our shoe size to have the right snorkeling gear prepared for our room—a genuinely thoughtful gesture. At the Seaplane terminal， we were guided to the VIP lounge and soon boarded the seaplane， enjoying a mesmerizing 40-minute flight over the atolls.Post-landing， Yum， our Island Host， whisked us away directly to the island by speedboat—no waiting， no group transfers. This exclusive treatment continued throughout our stay. Greeted with drums， garlands， and smiles at the jetty， we felt warmly welcomed， furthered by the Manager's personal greeting. Yum efficiently handled everything， including setting up fast and reliable island-wide Wi-Fi and connecting with us on WhatsApp for instant assistance. Tipping in small denominations was organized effortlessly by Yum， which was appreciated despite not being expected.In our Ocean Pool Villa， we found a chilled bottle of Taittinger champagne， a delightful welcome. Given access to our villa upon our early 8:00 am arrival， we were impressed with its idyllic setting and even more so with small， thoughtful touches， like neatly arranging toiletries on a Hurawalhi cloth. Every evening， our villa was immaculately serviced， enhancing a seamless first day. The hospitality shared by all staff felt genuine and unscripted， providing a calm， crowd-free atmosphere.Day TwoOur day began with a leisurely breakfast at Canneli， offering a diverse spread. By now， being greeted by name across the island was a testament to the quality service. With snorkel gear in hand， we explored the island， often feeling like it was our private paradise. After exploring the island shop and snapping some photos， we enjoyed lunch at JFK with beautifully presented dishes. The afternoon was spent savoring our villa's comforts: sunbathing， pool dips， ocean swims using private steps， and minibar treats. Dinner at Canneli and drinks at Coco Bar， served by the friendly team led by Casmir， concluded a perfect day.Day ThreeAn early coffee on the veranda revealed dolphins passing our villa—a magical moment. Breakfast at Canneli was relaxed， and upon our return， our villa was perfectly attended by the 'room angel.' Later， we visited the Champagne Pavilion， appreciating the attentive staff despite overcast skies. Dinner at Kashibo offered a long， leisurely experience with Asian-fusion dishes. Day FourA villa day brought the joys of reading， sunbathing， and ocean dips. Lunch at JFK followed a peaceful island stroll. The evening sunset dolphin cruise went from uneventful to spectacular， with dolphins putting on an exciting display just in time. Drinks at Coco Bar ended another great day.Day FiveAt breakfast， a special ‘Happy Anniversary’ table awaited us and our villa bed was decorated lovingly. A day of snorkeling led to an unforgettable evening at the 5.8 Undersea Restaurant， lauded for its views and unique experience， recommended by seasoned Maldives travelers.Final ThoughtsHurawalhi not only meets expectations; it quietly surpasses them， consistently offering exceptional service， food， and unique moments. The staff， from those tidying paths to dinner servers， greet you warmly and make you feel personally welcomed. Fellow guests noted Hurawalhi's superiority among Maldivian resorts.
