Museum Visit

The exhibition hall of the Incheon Immigration Museum is designed in a way that feels like quietly walking through the flow of time. Step by step, as you follow along, the stories of immigrants naturally unfold before you.

From the early 1900s, people who left for distant lands in search of a livelihood, the last view of their homeland seen from the ship as they departed, and the weight of reality they faced upon arriving in a foreign country—all these stories are presented one by one. As I slowly observed and walked through, a quiet resonance began to settle in my heart.
