📍A romantic encounter between the city and the river, a half-day trip to Inuyama Castle

Located at the northern end of Aichi Prefecture, Inuyama Castle is one of the 12 existing castle towers in Japan and the oldest national treasure castle. The castle is nestled in the mountains and stands on the banks of the Kiso River. From the top of the tower, you can see the winding river and the overlapping green mountains. The scenery is beautiful, as if you were traveling back to the Warring States Period.

I slowly climbed the slightly steep wooden stairs, and I could feel the weight of history with every step. After reaching the top, the breeze blew, and the vision instantly widened, and the scenery of the entire Inuyama City was in full view. The original appearance of the castle tower retains the wooden structure of the Edo period, full of simple and solid charm.
