Dolmabahçe Palace

Dolmabahce Palace was once the main residence of the Ottoman Empire. Dolmabahce Palace is a grand palace with 285 rooms and 40 halls.
Highlights include the crystal staircase and the Bohemian chandelier with 75 bulbs, a gift from Queen Victoria. See the Red Room, decorated with Hereke carpets, which was used to receive the Sultan's guests, and see the Hamam.
Dolmabahçe Palace is where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first president of Turkey, died. If you take a tour, you will see the important rooms of the palace. You will see the rooms where important national decisions were made. Then walk to the Haremlik, which is Atatürk's bedroom and the private areas of the royal family.
