Hagia Sophia

An ancient architectural marvel and a Byzantine heritage, the grand cathedral that has stood for 1400 years since the era of Constantinople. This Turkish museum of Christian-Islamic heritage is set to transform into a mosque. The grand church served as the main church of Thessaloniki throughout most of its history, built on the ruins of the St. Mark's Basilica. The Hagia Sophia Mosque is open to tourists daily from 09:00 to 19:30, except during prayer times.
