Kaohsiung's Hanlai Hotel (Lobby Piano Bar) serves a must-try local delicacy: Squid Vermicelli.

Today, I invited Professor Xue, who just returned to Taiwan from Shanghai, to have lunch at the Lobby Piano Bar of Kaohsiung's Hanlai Hotel. We ordered the Squid Vermicelli, a signature Kaohsiung dish that you simply can't miss. The broth was incredibly flavorful, the vermicelli was delightfully chewy, and the squid was fresh and delicious—absolutely mouthwatering 😋. Professor Xue was thrilled, as enjoying such tasty local cuisine in the grand lobby of a five-star hotel was a unique experience. The staff were warm and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. We also ordered two desserts, a pot of black bean tea, and a cup of latte, enjoying a delightful afternoon tea while chatting away. This fantastic restaurant is highly recommended to everyone.
