Dining and sunset, both perfect at Harbour Restaurant

The most memorable dinner in Kaohsiung?
Without a doubt, it’s at the Harbour Restaurant on the 43rd floor of the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel!

As soon as the elevator doors opened, I was greeted by a breathtaking panoramic view that left me speechless. Sitting by the window, I watched the sunset paint the Kaohsiung harbor in shades of orange—it was a sight to behold.

And right in front of me? The freshest assortment of sashimi and seafood imaginable! It was truly a moment where my taste buds were indulged and my eyes were soothed. 🐟🌅

The buffet offered not only sashimi but also Taiwanese-style seafood dishes, a variety of Asian hot foods, and an array of adorable and delicious traditional Taiwanese desserts (pineapple cakes, taro balls, milk pudding, etc.). The selection was incredibly diverse. I loved the puddings so much that half of my meal consisted of them!

What made the experience even more special was sitting by the window, enjoying the meal while watching the sun set. That moment rivaled any high-end restaurant experience. The serene darkening sea, the city lights coming alive, and the ocean flavors filling my mouth—it felt like a privilege reserved for travelers.
