When it comes to one of Thailand's most beautiful diving spots, Surin Island in Phang Nga Province is definitely on the list.

We went diving at Surin Island with Sabina Tour. Six of us didn't charter a boat, but luckily, there weren't many people, so they arranged a private boat for us. The water was crystal clear, the coral was abundant, and there were many colorful fish. The atmosphere was peaceful and friendly. I was absolutely impressed.

• The shallow-water coral reefs are incredibly rich, featuring staghorn coral, lettuce coral, brain coral, and colorful soft coral.
• A variety of marine fish, including parrotfish, butterflyfish, and angelfish, as well as rare species like clownfish hiding among the sea anemones.
• The water is so clear you can see the white sandy bottom. And there's a chance of encountering sea turtles or blacktip reef sharks.

1. Mae Yai Bay – A snorkeling spot with expansive staghorn coral reefs.
2. Chong Khad Bay – Shallow, clear waters, perfect for beginners.
3. Tao Bay – A chance to encounter sea turtles and colorful fish.
4. Richelieu Rock – A world-class scuba diving spot (liveaboard required). There's a chance of encountering manta rays or whale sharks.

⏳ Best Time to Visit
Open from mid-October to mid-May. After that, the island is closed for natural restoration.

• Choose a guided trip, as they'll take you to beautiful and safe spots.
• Use Reef-safe sunscreen to avoid damaging the coral reefs.
• If you experience seasickness, take medication 30 minutes before setting sail.
