Sabah State Mosque

Warm Welcome, but Check Prayer Times!"
My visit as a non-Muslim was smooth and very welcoming. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring all tourists were appropriately dressed before entering the grounds. They provide clean robes and headscarves for a small rental fee, which is helpful. We were allowed to explore the exterior and some designated interior areas outside of prayer times.
Critical Tip: It is a working mosque, so visitors must check the official visiting hours and absolutely avoid Friday prayer time, when non-Muslim entry is restricted. Plan for a morning or mid-afternoon visit to ensure access and respect the sanctity of the place.
