|Qiandeng Ancient Town. Qiandeng Ancient Town is located in Suzhou City, Kunshan City, and the Yangtze River Delta. It has a history of more than 2,500 years. It is the hometown of patriotic scholar Gu Yanwu and the birthplace of Kun Opera.
When you step into Qiandeng Ancient Town, you feel as if you have entered a beautiful Jiangnan painting.
The ancient stone road is winding and carries the traces of time.
Traditional buildings with white walls and black tiles are arranged in an orderly manner on both sides of the river.
Serene and elegant.
Walking in the ancient town, you can see small bridges and flowing water and houses everywhere, which makes people feel happy.
The sound of gurgling water seems to be telling an ancient story.
The stone bridge over the river is exquisite and simple. Standing on the bridge, with the breeze blowing on your face, it is extremely comfortable.
Famous attractions in Qiandeng Ancient Town include:
Gu Yanwu's former residence covers an area of 60 acres, including living area, ancestral hall, Gu Garden, Gu Yanwu Cemetery, etc. Among them, the former residence is the main body of the entire residence, facing east and west. It is a five-pronged, antique Ming and Qing Dynasty building.
