Kinkakuji Temple, Kyoto

Kinkakuji (Rokuonji), the villa of Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, later served as the Emperor's tea house.

It has a striking visual impact.
Taking photos can be difficult during the day due to the large number of tourists, but if you go first thing in the morning, it's easy.

The gold leaf is apparently replaced regularly, making it beautiful everywhere you look.
