Next to the Urban Hotel's front desk, a group of ducks are enjoying the moon-viewing experience in preparation for the harvest moon.
These adorable moon-viewing chicks, not moon-viewing dumplings, are super cute.

A variety of free drinks are available next to the front desk, and you can have tea in the free space next door. You're also welcome to bring drinks to your room, so I picked up some tea bags, Japanese green tea, coffee, and detox water.

There's also a fairly spacious restaurant space on the first floor.
The buffet costs ¥2,200 per adult and ¥1,100 for children.
Toddlers (ages 4 and under) are free.
The menu offers a wide variety of food and drinks, so it might actually be a good deal.

Kyoto souvenirs are lined up along the wall of the free space, and at the end of the corridor leading to the back is a back door that leads out...I ended up going in and out through the back door, which was quite convenient.
