Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of Inari shrines all over Japan, and is bustling with visitors from Japan and abroad all year round. After passing through the large torii gate, you will find a magnificent vermilion-painted tower gate and a brave lion fox, the god's messenger. 🦊
Pray at the main shrine... It is famous as the god of prosperity in business and bountiful harvests, but many visitors also visit Higashimaru Shrine, which is next to the tower gate, to pray for academic success and passing exams. ♪
Then, if you continue on, you will come to the famous "Senbon Torii", where the vermilion-painted torii gates continue endlessly like a tunnel, as if you are being invited into another world. 😊 However, it is quite crowded as many people head here. 💦
Further ahead, at the inner sanctuary, there is an "Omokaru Stone" where you can test whether your wish will come true, and it is also nice to try it. ♪
The grounds continue beyond the inner sanctuary, and it is a course of about 4km around Inariyama. If you have time and are confident in your legs, why not give it a try? It's a good idea to choose your favorite route depending on your physical strength.
However, over the past 10 years or so, it has surprisingly become crowded all year round. So I recommend going early in the morning or at night! ☝️
You can visit the shrine all day, so you can take your time and easily take photos of people outside.
However, it can be a bit creepy when it's dark, and the ground is rough, so please be careful. 🤗 #trip_aug #Kyoto #KyotoTourism #FushimiInariTaisha
