Nishi Hongan-ji Temple, Japan

We visited this temple in the morning and there were not many people there. You can freely enter the temple and I was surprised by the sheer size of the main building. It is really massive and you can also enter it by taking your shoes off.

I am not sure if this is the best temple to see especially in Kyoto where you can literally find one temple after the other but overall I really liked it and if you are in this area it is definitely worth a visit for me.

There is also a very peculiar and colorful gate on one of the side walls and I found that one pretty unique. #japantrip
