The first temple of the Jodo sect that was drafted

#aprilblooms

The main main mountain of the Jodo sect, which is known by the nickname "Kurotani-san". It is the first temple of the Jodo sect in the place where the founder of the Jodo sect, Horen Shonin, who descended from the Kurotani of Mt. Hiei, first formed a draft in 1175. It is said to be the birthplace of the Shinsengumi because it was the temple where the lord of the Aizu Domain, Yoshiyasu Matsudaira, who was appointed as the Kyoto Shugo post at the end of the Edo period, had its main camp, and was subordinated by Isamu Kondo and Toshizo Hijikata.

There are many buildings worth seeing in the precincts, such as the mountain gate where the imperial frame of the "First Gate of the Jodo Shinshu" is located, the Amida Hall rebuilt by Toyotomi Hideyori, and the Miei-do Hall, which enshrines the shadow of the Hon Shonin. "Gokoshi Yui Amidabutsu", which is characterised by a covering spiral hair, is also a must-see.
