One of the most famous temples in Kyoto, Japan

Kiyomizu-dera Temple was built in 778 AD (late Nara period)
Founded by Yan Zhenshangren, most of the current buildings were rebuilt by Tokugawa Iemitsu in 1633

Building Characteristics
- Suspended stage: In front of the main hall of Kiyomizu Temple, there is a suspended stage supported by 139 tall wooden pillars. It is a national treasure-level architectural stage in Japan and does not use a single nail.

- Red leaves and cherry blossoms: Cherry blossoms are in full bloom in spring (late March to early April)
In autumn (mid to late November), the mountains are covered with red leaves, making it a great place to enjoy cherry blossoms and maple leaves in Kyoto.

- Opening hours: usually 6:00-18:00
- Admission fee: Adults 400 yen, elementary and junior high school students 200 yen

- Best time: Early morning or weekdays to avoid peak traffic. Be prepared for crowds during the red leaf and cherry blossom seasons.
