A day trip to Arashiyama is one of my favorite things to do in Kyoto. It's not too far from the city center.
Although it's crowded, it doesn't feel overwhelming and is a very relaxing experience. You can enjoy the quaint streets while being surrounded by the surrounding mountains and lakes.
There are also many cultural and creative shops, which is a bit different from the city center. It's more unique and less cookie-cutter.
Arashiyama is a great place to stroll the streets in a kimono 👘. The bamboo forest is also a must-see.
The moonlit road in October will be even more beautiful. ~ Looking forward to my next #Arashiyama trip 🍵
The photo at the end is of a cute kid in a Luffy hat ❤️
I saw many people munching on cucumbers on the street. I had to try it! It's really delicious 🥒
