One-day trip from Osaka to Arashiyama, stopping at Nonomiya Jinja Shrine, located near the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.

This small shrine is famous for its prayers for love and lasting relationships.

In ancient times, Nonomiya Shrine was where unmarried princesses and empresses, chosen as Saiku, would perform a yearlong purification ritual before proceeding to Ise Shrine.

This shrine features a black torii gate, unlike the red torii gates of typical shrines.
