Nijo Castle & Kyoto Imperial Palace Combined Course (Half-Day~Full Day)
This historical course compares Nijo Castle, the shogun's residence, with the Kyoto Imperial Palace, the emperor's residence, and delves into the power structure of the Edo period.
• Morning (9:00 AM - 12:30 PM): Explore Nijo Castle
• Visit Nijo Castle and see key areas such as the Ninomaru Palace and Ninomaru Garden. (See Course 1)
• Explore Seiryu-en Garden within the castle grounds and admire its unique blend of Japanese and Western gardens.
• Lunch (12:30 PM - 1:30 PM): Enjoy a meal near Nijo Castle or in the Karasuma Oike area, one subway stop away. • Afternoon (1:30 PM - 4:30 PM): Kyoto Imperial Palace & Surrounding Parks
• Take the subway or bus to Kyoto Gyoen National Garden, home to the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
• You can visit Kyoto Imperial Palace from the outside without a reservation, or you can plan your visit around special opening hours. (Check the regular opening hours and special opening schedules.)
• Take a stroll through the expansive Kyoto Gyoen Park and experience the leisurely and tranquil atmosphere of downtown Kyoto.
