[Kyoto] Wabi-sabi! Introducing Ginkakuji Temple

Ginkakuji Temple is officially called Higashiyama Jisho-ji Temple, and the Kannon Hall (Silver Pavilion), which was built by Ashikaga Yoshimasa, the 8th Shogun of the Muromachi Shogunate, in imitation of Kinkakuji, is famous as a representative piece of architecture in Higashiyama culture. Contrary to its name, it is not covered in silver leaf, but you can feel the "wabi-sabi" that expresses the spiritual world of samurai and Zen Buddhism.
