The Leshan Giant Buddha, located in Leshan, Sichuan, China, is the world's largest stone Buddha statue, standing at 71 meters tall. It is said that construction began in the Tang Dynasty (713) by the Tripitaka-like monk Haitong, and took 90 years to complete.
Its scale is overwhelming, with the head alone being the size of a four-story building, and the feet large enough for 100 people to sit on!
Standing in front of it, you can truly feel that it is not just a tourist spot, but a sacred place where faith, nature, and human activities are fused together.
Two ways to enjoy it: on foot and by pleasure boat
✨There are two routes to enjoy the Leshan Giant Buddha.
① On foot route (entrance fee 80 yuan)
This is a course that climbs the mountain path and descends from the head of the Buddha to the feet.
The power of descending the narrow stairs and looking up at the Giant Buddha up close is truly overwhelming.
The temples and Buddhist reliefs along the way are also worth seeing.
🚤② Sightseeing boat (separate boarding fee of around 110 yuan)
A popular activity that allows you to see the whole Buddha from afar from the river. It stops in front of the Buddha for about 5 minutes to take photos.
Especially in the evening, you will be impressed by the divine beauty of the Buddha illuminated by the sunset.
Basic information
💰Admission fee: 80 yuan (walking route), boat is a separate charge
