Guilin Yangshuo Travel Diary: An Autumn Date in a Landscape Painting

After scouring all the online guides, I finally unlocked the stunning scenery of Guilin & Yangshuo this autumn⛰️! The Li River is clearest from September to October, the terraced fields begin to turn golden, and this 7-day trip captured all the breathtaking "landscape that tops the world" in my camera📸. Come and take notes!!

🌟Day 1: First Encounter with the Li River
📍Location: Yangdi Pier, Yangshuo County, Guilin City
✨Must-Do: Yangdi to Xingping Classic Section Boat Tour
The boat slowly glides over the emerald waves, with poetic and picturesque karst peaks on both sides🏞️. The strange stone patterns of Nine Horses Painting Hill look like a natural ink painting. The best moment was unexpectedly seeing a fisherman casting his net—quickly took out a 20 RMB note to snap the same shot! In the evening, stayed at a riverside guesthouse near Xingping Ancient Town, with a stunning sunset right outside the window🌅 and a faint scent of osmanthus in the air~

🌟Day 2: Yulong River Rafting
📍Location: Yulong River Scenic Area, Baisha Town, Yangshuo County
✨Must-Do: Bamboo Rafting from Jinlong Bridge to Old County Section
The bamboo raft drifts gently, with nine dam rushes giving a full thrill experience💯! Golden rice fields and karst peaks reflect in the clear river water, looking like a fairyland🏞️. After getting off, don’t miss Fuli Bridge, a century-old stone bridge forming a perfect circle with the water surface, accompanied by leisurely grazing water buffaloes—perfect for photos🤳!

🌟Day 3: Ten-Mile Gallery Cycling
🚲Recommended Route: Gongnong Bridge → Butterfly Spring → Big Banyan Tree → Moon Hill
Riding an electric bike through picturesque scenery, feeling amazing~ The natural crescent moon on Moon Hill🌙 sparkles under the sunlight! Along the way, any local farmhouse’s bamboo rice and stuffed snails are super delicious😋

🌟Day 4: Flavor Hunt on West Street
📍Location: West Street, Yangshuo County
🌙Recommended Food: Sister Xie’s Beer Fish + Taro Cake
West Street at night is where the soul is! Red lanterns🏮, live music, and the aroma of food... The freshly caught beer fish is incredibly tender, and the taro cake sprinkled with osmanthus honey is perfectly sweet!

🌟Day 5: Longji Terraced Fields
📍Location: Longsheng Various Nationalities Autonomous County, Guilin City
🚠Recommended Activity: Round-trip Cable Car
The layers of golden terraced fields are breathtaking! It’s best to come before 9 AM or after 3 PM when the sunlight is gentle☀️, perfect for photos~ At night, stay in a stilted house in the village, with a sky full of stars overhead

🌟Day 6: Riverside Afternoon Tea
Sit on the riverside terrace, sipping tea while admiring the landscape painting🍵, and don’t miss the classic S-bend of the Li River! The slow life in Yangshuo makes it hard to leave~

From the grandeur of the Li River to the golden terraced fields, every corner hides surprises💝. This trip finally made me understand the meaning of the saying "Better to be a Guilin local than an immortal"~ I can’t wait to come back and continue this "fairyland" romance!
