Captured at Kuang Si Waterfall, Laos

Located 30 km southwest of Luang Namtha, Kuang Si Waterfall is a multi-tiered cascade where water plunges over limestone formations, creating a series of refreshing, swimmable turquoise pools. Describing it as "Eden-like" still falls short of capturing its beauty. If you prefer not to swim, you can enjoy lunch at the park's shaded picnic areas with tables. Don’t miss the free Kuang Si Bear Rescue Center (located within the waterfall area; admission included with the waterfall ticket), where rescued Asian black bears, saved from poachers, are given a new lease on life.

Along the entrance parking area at the top of Ban Tat Paene Kham village, you’ll find affordable restaurants serving everything from local snacks to grilled chicken and fish.

The roads here are now well-paved, and the journey offers opportunities to stop at villages along the way, making a motorbike rental an excellent and enjoyable way to explore Kuang Si Waterfall.
