A Must-Save for the Lazy: 2025 Longmen Grottoes Leg-Saving Version

🌈 Finally got around to writing the Longmen Grottoes guide after a long delay.
The Longmen Grottoes are quite close to Longmen High-Speed Rail Station, so you can visit on the day you arrive or when you leave Luoyang. Just make sure to allow enough time~

🔥Tour Route (No backtracking)
✅ West Hill Grottoes ➡️ East Hill Grottoes ➡️ Bai Garden
Take a taxi to the Northwest Service Area. If you need to store your bags, you can do so for free 🆓. After that, head straight towards the Longmen sign (see photo 4), then you'll reach the ticket gate. Don’t go to the ancient street to avoid wasting time. The lakeside scenery is also nice for taking photos~

✅ If you’re short on time, focus on touring the West Hill Grottoes as the main route. After visiting here, walk clockwise to Manshui River to catch the sunset 🌇. Continue walking to the East Hill Grottoes to see the grottoes lit up.

🎫 Ticket: 90 RMB 💰
🚴 Transportation: Taxi from the high-speed rail station takes about ten minutes and costs around ten yuan.
⌚ Opening Hours: March 1 - October 31, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM. On holidays, closing time is extended~

📷 Photo Tips:
1. Enter from the west gate and shoot the bridge along the lakeside.
2. Full view of the Vairocana Buddha.
3. At the East Grotto, photograph the illuminated opposite side 💡.
❌ Not recommended to wear heavy makeup or Hanfu dresses that drag on the ground, as stairs are inconvenient and you’ll feel heavy-headed after a whole day of walking.
Finally, thanks to the lovely lady who helped take photos, truly beautiful and kind-hearted ❤️
