#holidayitinerary Exploring Chinatown in Mexico City is a quick little adventure full of color, street food, and random surprises. It’s a tiny neighborhood tucked right inside the bustling Centro Histórico, so it’s super easy to just stumble into while you’re wandering around the city. The entrance has those classic red arches and lanterns hanging everywhere, you’ll know when you’ve arrived.
The street is packed with vendors selling bao, dumplings, bubble tea, and even churros with a twist. It’s a mix of Chinese and Mexican flavors that somehow totally works. There are also little shops with lucky cats, red envelopes, incense, and fun souvenirs.
It’s not a huge area, like two blocks, but it’s full of life and worth checking out. Best time to go is mid-afternoon when the food spots are in full swing. Great for a snack break or grabbing something to-go before heading to the Zócalo. Don’t expect quiet, this spot is all about the buzz.
