The Sforzesco Castle, towering over the center of Milan, is a fortress built in the 15th century and was once the residence of the Sforza family.
It is now open as a cultural facility that brings together multiple art galleries and museums, and precious works such as Michelangelo's unfinished sculpture, the Pieta Rondanini, are on display.
The vast grounds are also connected to a park, so even just taking a leisurely stroll is a soothing spot 🌳
📍Access: Right next to the Cairoli station on the M1 subway line. It is also within walking distance of the Duomo, so it's very accessible!
🎯Travel Tips: Many areas are free to enter, and museums are open for free on some days of the week! Check the schedule on the official website in advance 📅
The castle is large, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes 👟
