A shrine with an impressive vermilion main hall built on a cliff. It is said to bring good luck for marital harmony, safe childbirth, and matchmaking, and throwing lucky balls is popular!

I was impressed by the way the main hall is completely tucked into the cave. It was so out of the ordinary to visit the shrine with the sound of the ocean crashing in the background. The activity of throwing lucky balls into the hollows of the rocks was also fun, and everyone was throwing them for real (lol)

▶Access/Tips
・About 1.5 hours by car from JR Miyazaki Station/Parking available
・Luck balls are 100 yen for 5 at the shrine office
・There are many stairs to the main hall, so wear comfortable shoes!
