Peace Park, located in Matsuyama Town, Nagasaki City, is a space of prayer developed to remember the atomic bombing on August 9, 1945🕊️
Within the park, you’ll find the Peace Statue, the Fountain of Peace, the hypocenter monument, and peace monuments sent from around the world🌍
Just walking quietly here allows you to deeply feel the preciousness of peace.
I visited in the morning and was enveloped in a quiet atmosphere while putting my hands together in front of the Peace Statue🙏
Tips for visiting: “Visit in the morning & combine with the Atomic Bomb Museum” + “Use the escalator for comfortable access”🚶♀️
At the museum, you can learn about the reality of the bombing and the history of nuclear weapons, with many memorable exhibits📖
Access is about a 5-minute walk from the streetcar “Peace Park Stop.”
From Nagasaki Station, it’s about 15 minutes with one transfer🚋
Perfect for couples or solo travelers seeking a quiet trip to calm the heart.
Why not spend some time thinking about peace at Nagasaki’s place of prayer?🌸
