Naminoue Shrine, located on a coral reef cliff in Naha City, is the most prominent of the eight Ryukyu shrines and boasts a history of over 700 years. Overlooking the azure sea, this shrine was historically a vital place for the Ryukyu Kingdom to pray for safe voyages and national prosperity. Today, Naminoue Shrine is a must-visit attraction, renowned for its unique red-tiled architecture and stunning ocean views. The annual "Naminoue Festival" held on May 17th is a lively event featuring traditional activities such as Shinkosai (sacred procession) and Ryukyu dances, showcasing the charm of Okinawan culture. 🌊
